What is Clash of the Capstone?
Clash of the Capstone is a friendly online giving competition between students and alumni to see who can bring in the most gifts—no matter the size. Faculty, staff, and the entire Bama community can join in by choosing a side, making a gift, and spreading the word.
When is Clash of the Capstone?
Clash of the Capstone will launch on Monday, Oct. 13th at 12:00 a.m. CST and conclude as soon as the Tide kickoffs against Tennessee on Saturday, Oct. 18th.
Why should I give during Clash of the Capstone?
Your gift to Clash of the Capstone supports students, faculty, and future generations—driving innovation, creativity, and excellence at The University of Alabama.
Can I designate where my gift goes - regardless of the team that I support?
During Clash of the Capstone, you can direct your gift to the area that matters most to you—whether it’s a specific college, school, or support program, your generosity will make an impact where you choose.
Do I have to be an Alum or Student to participate?
No. The campaign isn’t limited to just students and alumni—faculty, staff, and the broader Bama community are invited to participate by picking a side, making a gift, and sharing the campaign to help expand its reach.
Is my contribution tax-deductible?
Yes, contributions through UA’s crowdfunding platform support specific areas of the University and are therefore eligible for income tax deductions as allowed by law.

How do I ensure my gift counts for Team Alumni or Team Student?
Make sure that under "department or program" your team is selected.
Why is affiliation required?
This campaign is meant to encourage giving from all people who have a connection to the university! We want to know what your connection is! Students and alumni who give have extra incentives attached to making their gift so we need to be sure we can identify them.
Why can't I find my student organization?
Some organizations had names that could not fit the character limit. Search for your organization's abbreviated name or search for a key word.
